Luis Nenninger is a Violinist from New York. He moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2017 and fell in love with the west coast. He received formal training in NYC along side the NY Phil and Philadelphia Orchestras. His main teacher was Josh Rodriguez (of the Juilliard School). He also studied with Yuki Numata Resnick and Laurie Carney of the American String Quartet.
Since moving to Seattle he has been working as an active member of the Seattle String Quartet and Emerald City String Quartet, where he is the Principal Violin. He has also worked with the Listeso Music Group and their Seattle based “Emerald Quartet”. Luis has participated in recording for Video Games and several major Motion Pictures. He is a regular in the Candlelight’s playing both Violin and Viola. He also keeps a busy tour schedule each year.
Luis is excited to join the Rumba Kings!! He is also excited to join the Arcobaleno Strings as a guest for performances with the Rumba Kings.
Luis is a proud owner of a Balmforth Violin, which he had commissioned in 2017. In his spare time Luis enjoys longboarding, hiking, and being around his family. Most of whom still live in New York.
