Elizabeth Proios started singing and playing music at a young age. She adopted the violin first, then quickly fell in love with being a vocalist.
Her father was the late Tony Proios, a well known bouzouki player in the Greek-American communities. Elizabeth landed her first international show at the age of 18 with residencies in Germany, Greece and New York. She’s been touring the globe ever since, playing Greek classics, and paying homage to her biggest inspirations by such legendary artists as, Haris Alexiou, Glykeria and Angela Dimitriou.
Her voice has been compared to the likeness of Anna Vissi although Elizabeth has been known to sound like some of the best vocalist in the world with her powerful range and raw emotion.
Elizabeth performs live with The Rumba Kings and is consistently a crowd favorite at shows. "Liz performs our Greek segments in the shows. Our audiences love her energy, her voice, and her segments. She brings a dynamic to our shows that reminds me of the golden era of live music in Greece." -Johnny Bacolas, Music Director/Musician
